An opportunity has arisen to join an enthusiastic and professional team for the following positions:
Computer Programmer
Reports to : Systems Administrator
Job Location : Accra
Job Objective : To provide support to the Database Application Systems (Premia, Orion and Topaz Accounting System).
Main Duties & Responsibilities
• Investigate and solve problems reported by users of the Database Application Systems
• Assist in the reconciliation of monthly gross premiums figures
• Take daily backups and log them with the appropriate labels
• Train new staff in the use of the Database Application Systems
• Assist in the design and development of new application systems for functions identified by Management
• Generates weekly and monthly development reports and operational statistics and other ad-hoc crystal reports for stakeholders
• Monitor and control the allocation of database application systems to users
Qualifications and Competencies
• Degree in computer science or equivalent qualification
• At least 2 years working experience as a Computer Programmer
• Good working knowledge of Premia and Orion Software will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge in Oracle 9i or SQL
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office
• Should have strong programming skills
• Knowledge in Oracle database administration
• Ability to use TOAD and Crystal Report
• Ability to listen to users’ complains and provide solution |
