1.  POSITION: INTERNAL AUDIT ASSISTANT

•    Reports to:  Head of Internal Audit Department

•    Job Objective:

-    Assist in undertaking identified audit assignments including compliance and substantive testing to ensure internal controls are being followed.

•    Key results areas/Scope of Responsibilities:

-    Perform audit field work assignments in support of operational financial and compliance based audit
-    Analyse, test and evaluate systems of internal control
-    Assist the Head of Internal Audit in timely preparation of Internal Audit reports
-    Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Internal Audit

•    Educational/Professional Qualification:

-    Minimum: A good university degree in Accounts or Insurance plus ICA or ACCA Part 1

•    Personal Competencies:

-    Objective, honest, diligent, enquiring mind
-    Excellent communication and report writing skills
-    Team player
-    Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision

•    Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in audit or similar position

•    IT Proficiency is a requirement




2.     POSITION:  RISK OFFICER

•    Reports to:  Head, Risk Management Department

•    Key results areas/scope of Responsibilities:

-    To conduct risk surveys (pre-insurance, pre & post loss)
-    To assess risks and recommend cost effective ways of controlling risk exposures
-    To prepare status reports on Risk Management recommendations made


•    Educational/Professional Qualification:

-    A good university degree in Engineering, Physical Science or Risk Management

•    Personal Competencies:  Applicants must demonstrate the following competencies:

-    Results oriented
-    Analytical, attention to details
-    Communication and Report writing skills
-    Assertive, Socially confident
-    Organized, ability to work under pressure and with little supervision
-    Proficiency in use of IT tools

•    Experience:

-    Minimum of 2 years post-qualification practical experience.
